Daniel Tapia practices as a pediatric anesthesiologist at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas with interests in pediatric regional anesthesia, multimodal analgesia, and airway management. Daniel was born in San Diego, California. He attended college at Harvard University, followed by medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, residency in anesthesia at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Daniel currently serves as vice-chair of his anesthesia group at Covenant Medical Center. Daniel is the Anesthesia Equipment Coordinator for Project CURE, the largest organization in the world dedicated to the shipment of medical equipment to hospitals in developing countries. Daniel leads Project CURE Anesthesia, which is dedicated to combining the donation of anesthesia equipment with educational anesthesia conferences. He has led anesthesia conferences in La Union, Philippines, La Ceiba, Honduras, and Saltillo Mexico with between twenty and fifty participants.
